Privacy Policy
SlideCV helps users create, edit, analyze, and export resumes. This policy explains what data the app may collect during the MVP stage and how it should be handled.
Information we collect
- Account information such as email address and sign-in provider when Firebase Authentication is enabled.
- Resume content you enter into the builder.
- Payment metadata such as plan, billing interval, payment provider, payment status, and customer email when checkout is enabled.
- Basic technical data such as browser, device type, and error logs when analytics or monitoring are connected.
How we use information
- To create, edit, save, and export resumes.
- To provide AI rewrite, ATS analysis, and resume suggestions when the authenticated API is configured.
- To process payments and attach paid plans to the correct user account.
- To improve reliability, security, and product experience.
Resume data
Your resume may contain sensitive personal information. SlideCV should only store resume data when you explicitly save it or when cloud save/autosave is enabled for your signed-in account. Local-only drafts remain in your browser storage unless cloud sync is connected.
AI processing
When AI features are enabled, resume text and prompts may be sent to the configured SlideCV backend API. The browser should send a Firebase ID token so the backend can verify the signed-in user.
Payments
Payment details are processed by the payment provider. SlideCV should store only the minimum metadata needed to confirm plan access.
Security
SlideCV should protect account, resume, and payment metadata with authentication checks, server-side validation, secure environment variables, and least-privilege access rules.
Contact
For privacy questions, contact the SlideCV owner or support address configured for the production launch.
